Scott Kolb
General Manager - PGA

scott@victoriagolf.com

Scott's golf career has come full circle.

It all began at Victoria Golf Club in 1986, when young Scott was recruited by Head Professional Mike Parker to collect range balls and clean clubs. He was promoted to Assistant Professional in 1992 and, after six years and having obtained his Associate Professional status, he departed for a new challenge at Gallagher's Canyon Golf & Country Club. During his five years in the Okanagan, Scott created a Golf Academy and was the Golf Shop Manager.

Scott returned to the island in late 2002 as Manager of Arbutus Ridge Golf & Country Club, but left again in early 2006 to help start a new facility, the Raven at Lora Bay in Ontario.

Happily, he returned to Victoria Golf Club in August 2006 as General Manager. His goal is to ensure each member/guest receives a great experience each and every visit.

Susan Klemola
Controller

susan@victoriagolf.com

A shining star in the office as our Controller, Susan has been with the Club for just over a year after spending 25 years in a corporate environment. She is very happy to be working in the community where she has lived for 20 years and has raised her family.

Her quiet manner and quick wit allow her to fit in well with her co-workers. Sue and the girls have enjoyed taking advantage of the staff golf lessons (from Arlen) and playing a few holes after their working day.

Many Members may recognize her from walking the neighbourhood with her dog Rudy. Susan enjoys her winter getaways to her favorite dive destinations and is looking forward to trekking the ‘Annapurna circuit’ in Nepal in 2010.

Lucy Reniger
Office Administrator
Payroll/Member Services
lucy@victoriagolf.com

Lucy is a Victoria Golf Club success story.

Thirteen years after moving from northern B.C. to Victoria, she started working for VGC in May of 1986 in the food and beverage department, where legend has it she could whip together a mean clubhouse sandwich and fries.

After a number of years, she accepted a promotion to the administration office, where you will find her smiling face and welcoming presence to this very day. Lucy has worked in all areas of the office and is an essential part of the management team. (And, when in a pinch, she'll still wander down to the kitchen and help slap together a clubhouse or two.)

Donna Cool
Administration - Accounts Payable/
Member Services

donna@victoriagolf.com

Although most of you already know Donna as a familiar, smiling face around the Club, she is now one of our most recent additions to the Administration team.

Born on the North Shore, Donna moved to Oak Bay to start grade school at Monterey, so we consider her as close to home-grown as you can be without actually being born here. Donna worked as a server at VGC while going to Oak Bay High School and then after college and a three-year stint with Delta Hotels, she came back to VGC to rejoin the Food and Beverage team. It is hard to believe it has been a year since Donna moved from the Events Manager position to Membership Administration and learning all that goes along with it.

Donna loves to spend her down time cooking, working on her house renos, and if you spend any time in Palm Springs or Palm Desert, you may catch a glimpse of Donna and her hubby Bob playing their favorite golf courses. When at home, she loves her daily 'walks' with her two Pugs, Wembley and Chelsea.

Yes … she used to play soccer, too, but now she's just a fan. Stop by the office anytime for a visit - she would love to see you!

Norma Jean Weinmann
Sales & Events Manager
normajean@victoriagolf.com

Jeannie started working at VGC in September of 2005 in the Administration department. Since that time, she has been promoted to our Sales and Events Manager.

Jeannie and her son Brendon moved to Victoria after living in Sonoma County for the better part of 16 years. While in California, Jeannie worked in the golf industry from 1997 to 2005 in many roles such as food & beverage, on-course players' assistant, coordinating golf tournaments and then later as Sales and Events Coordinator.

She is often the first face that Members and their guests see when they arrive at VGC. Jeannie is an avid golfer and enjoys every opportunity to play with staff or Members.

Jeannie looks forward to excelling in her career and does her best to make memorable experiences for all those who come to the Club.

Katie Craig

Banquet Manager/

Event Co-ordinator

katie@victoriagolf.com

You can title Katie's time at VGC as The Endless Summer.

Katie, you see, landed a summer job at VGC in July of 1984 and she enjoyed it so much that here we are, almost 28 years later, and she's still with us. Katie, who moved to Victoria from Prince George after graduation in 1983, started as a server and now holds the Banquet Manager/Event Coordinator position.

On her own time, Katie enjoys cooking, learning to play golf and taking daily walks.
